Some items, like architectural drawings, surveys, site plans, permit costs, and timelines, are handled separately from the construction quote. These requirements can vary depending on your city or county.

What You May Need for Permitting

Every area is a little different, but most projects typically require:

• Architectural drawings showing existing and proposed details that meet local building codes

• As-built boundary survey identifying existing structures, property setbacks, and trees (including species and size)

• Site plan created from the survey, showing the existing conditions, proposed work, and any required calculations
